Festival 2026
Nine wonderful days of performances in Music and Scottish Country Dancing, led to the conclusion of the one hundred and fourteenth Glasgow Music Festival on Saturday 21 March 2026, with our Last Night Concert featuring some stunning performances.
Three major Awards were made at the Last Night Concert: The Agnes Duncan Trophy, with the Soroptimist International Glasgow City Award, to Aaron Agboje; The Hugh S Roberton Memorial Trophy, with The Glasgow Orpheus Trust Award, to Theo Wilson, The Ailie Cullen Memorial Prize to Sylvester Maschi. Congratulations to Aaron, Theo, Sylvester and all who performed throughout the Festival.
Audiences were, as always, supportive and enthusiastic and the whole event was greatly enjoyed by everyone involved: performers, adjudicators, accompanists, audiences, stewards and administrators.
The team of adjudicators comprising Steven Roberts, Kay Tucker and Angela Young all offered much constructive advice and encouragement. Performers were well supported by our team of Official Accompanists: David Anastasiou, Chris Baxter, Claire Haslin, Jia Ning Ng, and Sinae Sung. Accordionist, Susan MacFadyen, provided music for Scottish country dancing.
