Class 338 – Prepared Reading (adult performers)

For performers aged 19 and over. Performers will receive an adjudication but no comparison will be made between performances.
Test Piece: Own choice (see regulations 19-25) – not to exceed 4 minutes. Duration, author and title must be stated on the Entry Form.

If the reading is in a language other than English, a literal English translation must also be provided for the adjudicator.

Class 349 – Religious reading (16 – 18)

Test Piece: Own choice of a passage from religious scripture or text (see regulations 19-25) – not to exceed 2 minutes. The selected passage and translation must be stated on the Entry Form. For performers aged 19 and over. Performers will receive an adjudication but no comparison will be made between performances.
Test Piece: A simple passage of prose or verse. Each performer will be allowed one attempt with two minutes’ silent study prior to reading.
